PROGRAMMER ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Plans, develops, tests, and documents computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. Responsible for the customization and development of application systems under the guidance of our Director of Information Technology.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Review IT programming requests by establishing a detailed program specification based on functional specifications and requirements provided by the service owner. Provide estimates for the requests. Participate in any prioritization meetings or discussions.
  • Provide input on enterprise architecture discussions and decisions.
  • Works as a team member or leader on projects and requests.
  • Researches the business processes to formulate a solution to the problem for the project. Formulates a plan outlining steps required to develop a solution.
  • Writes and completes well documented and structured code using the PMSL enterprise architecture teams recommended and/or standard technologies.
  • Develops unit test plans for code written by the team. Completes testing and records results.
  • Performs analysis, coding, testing and documentation for internally developed and packaged software integrations.
  • Assists service owners with system test plans and testing.
  • Participates in project meetings, provides training and technical assistance to users. Works with service owners to create and maintain detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users.
  • Performs packaged software installs, upgrades and updates.
  • Quick response to IT issue. Handles general IT requests/tickets and assists in other IT projects as needed.
  • Familiar with our internal development process and languages using tools you might know: SQL Server, ASP.Net, MVC, C#, JQuery, GitHub, HTML Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript),Java, etc.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in one of the followings:

  • BA with Computer Information System
  • Computer Science
  • Baccalaureate in Mathematics
